GAB Award Winning Meteorologist KJ Allen
Georgia Association of Broadcasters award winning Meteorologist KJ Allen started in radio in 1993, and was covering his first severe weather outbreak within the first year. 30+ years later, he is thrilled to rejoin his friends at Golden Isles Broadcasting, providing timely forecasts and urgent severe storm information when seconds count. (You may remember KJ for his time doing afternoons on 104.1 The Wave.) KJ was able to overcome being brought up in East Tennessee, and has been a devoted Dawg fan since moving to Georgia in 1996.
KJ received his broadcast and operational meteorology certificate from the prestigious Mississippi State program in 2022. His favorite weather phenomenon is an outflow boundary, with fallstreak holes as a very close second.
